So yep, instead of two weeks, that was accidentally two months. I could try to explain all the things that happened, but it would be worse than Khern's exposition here.
I'm sorry about Khern's exposition. It didn't look that bad in the script. And Fay's little follow-up after a long awkward silence was funnier in my head than it is here.
Anyway the short of it is that I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this comic anymore, and if I want to continue it - for a whole slew of reasons. I'll upload the pages I've done on a regular-ish schedule while I think about it.
Sorry about the small type, the print size is A4 so any bigger makes it look ugly in print.
Dialogue on this page:
Khern: They are the backbone of this continent, it is vital that they continue to work.
They are maintained by permanent crews of scientists and machinists under normal circumstance.
This one appears to be abandoned however... and I am consulting the records held by the machine to ascertain what happened.
Oh nooo. I would be upset if you abandoned this comic. But it's your choice after all. I've heard other artists say the easiest way that they continue their comic is that they write out the story first *shrug*
@nattherat: Oh :-( well in that case, I wouldn't mind reading the story if you can't continue the comic. Your art is so lovely!! It's rare to see that on SJ. You have similar qualities to another of my favorites, http://invisiblecities.comicgenesis.com/
These last few pages are absolutely beautiful, I'm forever in love with that natural feel and texture <3
I'm sad to hear that you're thinking about stopping, but I totally understand if you want to stop making it. In my own experiences on this kind of thing, it can be really hard to let go of something you've been creating for a long time, but if its just not working for you and causing more stress then happiness, you have to be honest with yourself about that and not try to continue something thats just not clicking with you... Otherwise things just get worse all round :S
Taking some time to think about it seems like a good idea, I'm looking forward to the rest of the finished pages ^_^
