And now you get to see why I was making such a fuss about fonts and speech bubbles. I hope this has the effect I want it to.

I love Khern's speech bubbles :) They make him appear more mysterious
And the contrast it has to Fay's bubbles make Fay look more innocent and lost

I always love it when characters have different kinds of speech bubbles; it intrigues me. Just as long as you don't use any wacky fonts, it usually works fine. Just realized that Fay's name is Fay and had a spaz attack. Have you ever read a manga called Tsubasa? There is a character named Fai (whose name is alternately spelled Fay) that looks a heck of a lot like your Fay. Anyway, he is so pretty~! I love his hair!

lol I love the way they've met XD 'y-you wont take me alive..' XD
Its all very curious, but yeah I can instantly see a stark contrast in character and culture, even without the speech bubbles (all over the body language haha)

@Antique Doll - :D Glad you like them. There were all sorts of things I was and am intending the different speech bubbles to do and invoke, but I'll wait until a few chapters in to gauge if they achieve their aim before I say what it is. ;)

@BluePhoenix9 - Haha, I've read the very first volumes of it, in which his name was just Fai, but I didn't really get into it. They both fit the innocent pretty looking stereotype so although I don't quite see the similarity myself (only the blonde floppy hair) I know where you're coming from. But that's good, this comic is all about stereotypes and such! 8D

@Theorah - It's Fay's heroic last stand against the evil things! XD I'm glad to hear you noticed the difference between them there! :D Body language is taken for granted sometimes I think, but I put effort into making them both react physically in their own personal ways. I'm glad that comes across.

It reminds me a little of the Sandman where Morpheus speaks in black bubbles. It certainly makes a very effective contrast between them :)
